Care Guide

Store appropriately

Store your MH jewels in a dry protected space. Ideally, each piece should have its own little home, either individually contained or hung. Safe keep them while traveling inside a box with soft interior or a pouch to prevent scratching and tangling.

HANDLE AS FRAGILE

Gemstones are untreated and are thus delicate. Avoid dropping on hard surfaces. They can chip on impact!

Clean regularly

For deeper cleaning a soft toothbrush will effectively remove build up. Use a touch of mild soap, then rinse with lukewarm water and dry by hand.

Use other cleaning methods at your own risk.

Limit harmful exposure

Keep away from harsh chemicals and cleaning agents; some can discolor softer stones. Apply makeup, hair and skin care products before putting on your jewels.

Sodium and chlorine have corrosive effects on some natural materials; don't forget to clean your jewels after swims. Most gemstones don't mind water though, so feel free to bathe with them on. The exceptions are azurite and pyrite; these minerals will oxidize if not handled properly in such conditions.

Polish it up

Over time, the metal will naturally tarnish. Some people enjoy this patina. For a shinier look, polish it up with a complimentary Sunshine Cloth included in your MH package.

LOST EARRING

Once in a while, I'll lose one earring from a set. If this happens to you, I am happy to replace it (single earring) at 50% of the pair's original sale price.

Contact the studio with a replacement request.

REPAIRS

Though meticulous effort goes into making each adornment, I will always fix a piece that appears defective. This does not happen regularly, but should it occur, I do my best to correct the problem. If you notice any damage or structural weakness, get in touch with me immediately.

Shoot me a note and we can work out the details.

I want to make sure all the MH jewels out there are getting the love they deserve!

RING SIZING

Unfortunately rings cannot be sized down. In general, rings can be sized up 1/4-1/2 a size by request. Please note MH rings should not be sized up on ring stretchers, only by hand with mandrel and hammer. We cannot take responsibility for rings resized outside the MH studio.
